The Method Seven Citadel FX2 is a stylish and ANSI Z87 safety-rated frame for grow rooms. Paired with our new FX2 lens, engineered for Full Spectrum LED and CMH lighting, the Citadel offers top protection and performance. The FX2 lens features multi-layered coatings such as Resin Repel, anti-Reflective (AR), and Petrol Mirror for perfect clarity and comfort. Its slight wrap design provides amazing coverage and fits average to large faces. The frame is available in either Matte Black or Gun Metal.

Lens Technology

The Method Seven Citadel FX2 lens is the result of years of dedicated research, developed in collaboration with the world’s leading LED light manufacturers and engineers. It’s the biggest innovation in growing since LED lights.

The FX2 lens provides precise filtering of the LED spectrum, reducing spikes in the 660nm to 700nm and 385nm to 440nm ranges. It offers complete UV protection, blocking increased UV from newer LED fixtures with chips below 400nm. Also able to eliminate spots and floaters that many people experience when working under LED lights, ensuring clear vision. Brightness is perfectly reduced, allowing you to see above or below your canopy without ever removing your glasses, regardless of LED settings. Additionally, the lens features multiple advanced coatings, including resin repel, anti-reflection, anti-fog, and petrol mirror, for maximum performance and comfort.

Frame Technology

This hybrid Method Seven Citadel FX2 frame hits all the marks – wrap style coverage with a flat modern look, and it’s tough enough for industrial use. The Italian crafted Citadel frame is certified by independent labs to meet or exceed International ANSI MSZ87+S specifications, including high velocity impact resistance, and without any compromise to style. Why Method Seven?

Grow rooms have lots of light, but it’s not broad-spectrum. Though this might be great for plants, it’s not so great for your eyes. Human eyes contain rods and cones, which need broad-spectrum light in order to perform their functions. These functions include things like focus, recognise shapes, register movement, and see colour. In a grow room environment, sunglasses make things worse by darkening all the light. You might squint less, but you still can’t see colour, and it’s even more difficult to focus. Other grow light glasses attempt to colour balance the extreme light spectrum but use cheap plastic lenses. The cheap plastic lenses usually have very poor clarity that distort light and are hazy or blurry.
