Use in conjunction with Heat Mats, Heat Mat Thermostat and Happy Harvest Rooting Gel for the best results.
A good cutting is between 7 and 10cm long. A green flexible stem will give you the best chance of successfully cloning your plants. With a clean, sharp blade or pruner, cut at a 45° angle. Place cuttings immediately in water submerging the cut. Dip each cutting into the rooting gel covering the bottom 1cm and especially the wound. Lastly place the fresh cutting into a rock wool cube, Jiffy pellet or Preforma plug. Kept humid at 24° roots should appear in 7 to 14 days.
Rooting/Cloning Tips:
- A foliar application of kelp 2 weeks before cuttings are made can aid in root development.
- Take cuttings later in the day rather than early in the morning.
- To ensure a long shelf life, store rooting gel in the fridge.
- To avoid contamination, do not dip cuttings into rooting gel jar. Take a small amount of rooting gel from the jar or bottle to use for cuttings and discard afterward.
- Don’t add any nutrients to your solution or water used for germination or propagation.
- Once clones have rooted, feed with an EC of 1.2 or 600ppm
