EC 1413 µS/cm Calibration Fluid

Description

EC 1413 Calibration Fluid helps maintain your EC meter’s accuracy, aiding in precise nutrient measurements and keeping your plants properly fed.

Compatible with most EC meters, 1413 is a typical standard used across various industries to calibrate meters to. The TDS reading of the calibration fluid will depend on your meter’s conversion rate, either using the 500ppm or 700pm scale.

EC 1413 Calibration Fluid Directions:

Pour a small amount of calibration fluid into a clean and dry container just big enough for the EC pen’s probe side to fit into, an empty bottle cap or small cup works well. Don’t use any metals.

If you can, rinse your EC meter’s probe end off with distilled water before calibrating it. Your EC meter will either have an electronic or manual calibration method.

If electronic, submerge the probe in the calibration fluid and press the calibration button, select which EC to calibrate to and press enter, wait for the meter to finish.

If manual calibration, your meter would have come with a screw driver and somewhere on the meter, sometimes in the battery compartment, there is a small screw. As above, submerge your pH meter’s probe in the calibration fluid, and turn the screw slowly so that the reading on the meter matches the EC calibration fluid’s value of 1413 µS/cm.

Once you’ve calibrated your meter, rinse it with clean water and it will be ready to use. Do not throw the used calibration fluid back into the bottle. Store the open bottle of fluid with the lid closed tightly, use within 3 months to ensure accuracy.
