Description

TRICHOTECH ® WP is a biological solution for the control of soil pathogenic fungi and a boost to crop development.

Containing spores of Trichoderma asperellum(4.0 x 10^9 CFU), TRICHOTECH® WP is a soil dwelling fungi that is beneficial to plants. Antagonistic to soil pathogenic fungi and used globally for control of soil borne fungal diseases. These include Fusarium spp., Pythium spp., Sclerotinia spp., Botrytis spp and Rhizoctonia spp. The strain is known to increase plant vigour and overall health.

APPLICATION:

Apply preventively at transplant or start of the season, before diseases occur in plants. The application recommendations vary depending on target crop and method of application.

Apply directly as a soil drench, through the drip irrigation system, as a foliar spray or as a seed coating of plant material.

Compatible with several fungicides and insecticides, apply TRICHOTECH® WP 48 hours before or after application of products. Incompatible chemicals include triazoles, benomyl and imazalil. Tank mixing is not recommended.

TRICHOTECH® WP mechanisms:

• Competition – TRICHOTECH ® WP is a fast growing fungus that easily out-competes soil pathogens. Promotes niche exclusion of potential harmful microbes and provides a barrier to combat disease causing fungi.
• Antibiosis – TRICHOTECH ® WP produces chemical metabolites, which inhibit various developmental stages of plant disease causing fungi.
• Mycoparasitism – TRICHOTECH ® WP produces enzymes that enable the fungus to invade and parasitize plant pathogenic fungi.
• Growth promotion – By releasing locked nutrients from decaying organic matter; TRICHOTECH ® WP increases plant growth and vigour, supplying nutrients to plant roots.

DOSAGE:

• Soil Drench – 125g per hectare
• Foliar Spray – 125g per hectare (125g/1000L water)

PREPARATION:

Add 125g of TRICHOTECH® WP into 5 litres of water and mix thoroughly. Add the suspension into fertigation tank. Agitate the mixture throughout the application period to ensure uniform distribution of the TRICHOTECH® WP in the water.

Add 1.25g TRICHOTECH® WP for every 10 litres of water for foliar application. Agitate the mixture throughout the application period to ensure uniform distribution.

STORAGE:

Store TRICHOTECH® WP in a cool, dry place in tightly closed original pack. Do not freeze and do not allow the product to undergo thermal shock. May be stored in original un-opened container for six months at temperatures of 8 – 12°C.
