Happy Harvest Rooting Powder is a premium product. Often referred to as cloning powder, it’s used to create new plants from a cutting. The powder contains rooting hormones that aid a cutting to grow a new root system. Also known as cloning, this is the process of propagation.

A good cutting is between 7 and 10cm long. A green flexible stem will give you the best chance of successfully cloning your plants. With a clean, sharp blade or pruner, cut at a 45° angle. Place cuttings immediately in water submerging the cut. Dip each cutting into the rooting powder covering the bottom 1cm and especially the wound. Place the fresh cutting into a rock wool cube, Jiffy pellet or Preforma plug.

The powder seals in moisture and protects the cutting from infection. This will also keep active ingredients in contact with cell tissues. With the presence of the hormones, new roots begin to form. Humid, temperate environments are best for new cuttings for the next 7-14 days while they strike roots. Propagation domes are best in keeping humidity levels high. Raise temps with a heat mat and thermostat to promote quick rooting especially in the cooler winter months.

To ensure a long shelf life, store rooting powder in a cool dry place. Keep out of reach of uninformed individuals. To avoid contamination, do not dip cuttings into the jar. Take a small amount of powder from the jar and discard afterward.
