HPS (High Pressure Sodium) emits light from the red spectrum, ideal for flowering plants. At 2000K, the Son-T is slightly more in the red spectrum than other HPS lamps we offer. Fitted with an E40 socket enables you to use it on most HID fittings and fixtures.
Known for it’s high output of 149L/W, or 90 000 Lumens total, the Phillips SON-T 600W lamp is a serious contender in the HID lighting department. Lifespan depends on how much light you’re willing to loose, as this happens with most HPS lamps. Expect a loss of around 10% after 20 000 hours of operation.

Lamp Safety
A lamp breaking is extremely unlikely to have any impact on your health. If a lamp breaks, ventilate the room for 30 minutes and remove the parts, preferably with gloves. Put them in a sealed plastic bag and take it to your local waste facilities for recycling. Do not use a vacuum cleaner.
