Beauvitech ® WP

Description

BEAUVITECH ® WP is a biological insecticide containing Beauveria bassiana(1.0 x 10^10 CFU) used to control whiteflies and other soft bodied insects.

 

BEAUVITECH ® WP is an insect killing fungi used on vegetables and flowers. It kills the insect by mechanical damage through tissue invasion, resulting in depletion of nutrients and release of secondary metabolites (toxins).

TARGET PESTS – Various soft bodied insects such as white fly, thrips and aphids.

DOSAGE:

We advise to apply BEAUVITECH ® WP at 250g per hectare with a water volume of 1500-2000 litres. Frequency of application varies with the pest pressure and their susceptible life stages. We recommend to spray every 5-7 days with between 2-4 repeat applications.

MODE OF ACTION:

Beauveria bassiana is known to cause the white muscadine disease in insects like aphids. Fungal conidia become attached to the insect cuticle, and upon germination, the hyphae penetrate the cuticle and proliferate in the insect’s body.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

Use only as directed. Relative humidity of above 70% and temperature of between 18–30°C are essential for conidial germination and infection establishes between 24 and 48 hours. The infected insect may live for 3-5 days after hyphal penetration. Conidia can be present on the cadaver after death. Treat crops early in the season before high pest presence for best results.

COMPATABILITY:

BEAUVITECH ® WP is compatible with most biopesticides and insecticides. Refer to the Dudutech pesticide side-effects compatibility guide if you are unsure. Some chemicals may have detrimental effects to Beauveria bassiana, as it is a living organism. Avoid chemical fungicide spray at least 3 days before and after using BEAUVITECH ® WP. Not compatible with citrus oils.

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Mix the required amount of BEAUVITECH ® WP with water using 2L for every 250g.
2. Stir well to form a uniform suspension.
3. Add the suspension to the required volume of water in the spray tank and mix well.
4. Add the required amount of teepol (liquid soap) (200ml for every 1000L water) or any wetter and mix thoroughly.
5. Apply solution as soon after mixing as possible.
6. Do not store overnight.
7. Thorough coverage of all leaf surfaces is a must to obtain good efficacy.
8. Apply using high volume spray equipment.

Maintain a minimum relative humidity of 70% for at least 12 hours. Temperatures of 20 – 28°C can aid in high infection rates. Apply foliar spray in early morning or late afternoon for best results.
