Chosen by a wide variety of horticulturalists, coco peat is a great inert growing medium. Coco peat has high cation exchange capabilities (CEC) and retains both moisture and air well. Produced from coconut husks, the husks are washed repeatedly in fresh water before being crushed and packaged.

For seedlings, use a 50/50 ratio of peat and perlite. For potted plants mix 10-30% perlite in coco. Due to coco’s high amount of sodium, buffering with CalMag is required. More on buffering coco peat here.

• Volume Out-turn of 13-15 litres of loose hydrated peat per kilogram of compressed peat.

Bagged & ready to go, we offer a 100dm washed and buffered 100% peat. Use it as is or mix in your preferred amendments, fertilizers, microbes or fungi for a custom living blend.
