Lens Technology

LED Classic polymer lenses with 100% UV protection and a flash silver lens coating, manufactured to exacting standards by Carl Zeiss. Unlike cheap sunglasses, these lenses are decentered (asymmetrical) to eliminate distortion that would otherwise occur with a curved lens. Experience balanced color under blurple (blue + purple) or magenta spectrum LED lights.

Does one set of grow glasses work for all grow room lights?

No. Method Seven notch filtering technology specifically filters out some wavelengths of light while allowing other wavelengths to pass information to the eye. Each M7 lens is a filter highly tuned to its namesake light spectrum. It’s not possible for a single lens to properly filter light for vastly different spectrums. As with filters, if the input changes, so does the output.

Frame Technology

The Method Seven Operator LED+ frame is made with Swiss polymer technology, TR-90, for a flexible and lightweight fit. This full wrap frame delivers full coverage with Italian craftsmanship and style.  

Why Method Seven?

Grow rooms have lots of light, but it’s not broad-spectrum. Though this might be great for plants, it’s not so great for your eyes. Human eyes contain rods and cones, which need broad-spectrum light in order to perform their functions. These functions include things like focus, recognise shapes, register movement, and see colour. In a grow room environment, sunglasses make things worse by darkening all the light. You might squint less, but you still can’t see colour, and it’s even more difficult to focus. Other grow light glasses attempt to colour balance the extreme light spectrum but use cheap plastic lenses. The cheap plastic lenses usually have very poor clarity that distort light and are hazy or blurry.
