Top Hat Grommet

Description

A Top Hat Grommet provides a water tight connection using 9mm or 6mm pipe. Best suited for use with the Autopot 47L Tank or Plant!t Flexible Tanks.

Choose 9mm for AQUAvalve5 and 9mm Fittings

Choose 6mm for older, pre-August 2020 AQUAvalves with 6mm Fittings

Position the Top Hat Grommet at the bottom of the reservoir. All AutoPot 47L tanks are now supplied drilled and with 9mm Top Hat Grommets.

Drill out a 12.5mm diameter hole if fitting a 9mm grommet (for AQUAvalve5) to an existing/non-AutoPot reservoir.

Drill out to 10mm diameter hole if fitting a 6mm grommet (for older, pre Aug 2020 AQUAvalves) to an existing/non-AutoPot reservoir.

The grommet is then inserted into the hole and a length of 9mm or 6mm pipe is then pushed through the grommet. Push the pipe all the way through the grommet so that you can see the tube protruding inside the reservoir.
